Form Updates

Information about form improvements

USGBC launched LEED Online v3 with beta versions of the prerequisite and credit forms. Since the launch, USGBC has been working hard to release all forms from beta status. We regret an inconvenience and thank you for you continued patience.

 

What is the current status?

To date, USGBC has released approximately 205 forms (of 400 forms for the rating systems LEED-NC, LEED-CS, LEED For Schools, LEED-CI, and LEED-EB:O&M) from beta. The forms are being addressed in a comprehensive, integrated manner to ensure all critical changes are made at once for a given form. The list of improved, post-beta forms is displayed below in the Form Change Highlights section.

 

Which customers receive the improved forms?

The improved forms are automatically provided to all projects registered after the release date and any other projects that have not saved data on the specific form.

 

Projects that have already started working on the beta version (v1.0, v0.2.2, v0.2.3, or v0.2.4) of the form will only receive the updated version if they submit a request to USGBC (see instructions below).

 

What does beta mean?

The beta label signifies that the form requires additional refinements to improve usability, remove bugs, calculation errors and/or requirement errors. The beta label is associated with specific form versions- v1.0, v0.2.2, v0.2.3, and v0.2.4.  All forms v3.0 and above are released from beta.

Check the bottom right corner of the form

 

How to request a new form?

Click “Feedback” at the bottom of the login page or at the top right once logged in. Include:  project name and ID, list of forms you would like to have updated and their current form version

Note: Requests will only be accepted from the project administrator, project team manager, or project team members assigned to the credit.

 

Why should/shouldn’t a customer request a new form?

Upgrading to the post- beta forms is optional.  USGBC  and GBCI recommend ALL projects upgrade to the latest version of the form as the beta versions may include calculation or requirement errors that could impact the project’s review. To understand the scope of the changes made to a specific form, review the Form Change Highlights list. Projects that have spent a significant amount of time completing a form may prefer to proceed with the Beta versions to prevent unnecessary rework.

 

What if the Beta form is not on the Form Change Highlights List?

If a form is not included on the Form Change Highlights list,  please be assured that USGBC is working diligently to improve all forms and address any remaining bugs.

If you need to proceed with the beta form, use the Additional Details section of the form to explain any workarounds used, detail why the workaround was needed, and upload any supporting documentation necessary to accurately document credit compliance.

 

Still having problems with a form?

USGBC encourages all customers to use the feedback button (located on the bottom of the login page or at the top right once logged in)  for any issues encountered when trying to complete a form.   All issues are reviewed, handled on a case-by-case basis, and rolled into future form versions as necessary. Regardless of the issue, a member of our team will follow-up with you directly

 

Is there a list of all submittal requirements for a given credit or all credits?

There is no comprehensive list of submittal requirements for the LEED 2009 Rating Systems available at this time. We are currently exploring options for creating such a list.

 

Is there a list of linked data and uploads within the credit and prerequisite forms?

There is no up-to-date comprehensive list of linked data and uploads for the LEED 2009 Rating System forms. We are currently exploring options for creating such a list.

 

Is there a list showing all the credits that require X signatory?

An up-to-date, comprehensive list of required signatories for the most recent version of the LEED 2009 Rating System forms is not yet available. However, we are actively working on reviewing recently released versions of the forms and updating this list. We anticipate that it will be available in summer 2010. For projects with v0.2.3 and v1.0 forms (shown at bottom right of each form), current help content may be useful.

 

Is there a list showing all the credits that require X LPE?

An up-to-date, comprehensive list of licensed professional exemptions for the most recent version of the LEED 2009 Rating System forms is not yet available. However, we are actively working on reviewing recently released versions of the forms and updating this list. We anticipate that it will be available in summer 2010. For projects with v0.2.3 and v1.0 forms (shown at bottom right of each form), current help content may be useful.
